I bought some as Christmas surprise gifts! Kinda made a fun thing out of it. I asked my family who remembered the nice man who wore brown shorts and top drove a brown truck and delivered back in my day? The only one that remembered was my daughter! It was fun! Nice present! Unexpected!

I purchased a tin of chips and pretzels to be delivered to my in-laws in Texas for Christmas! We were there when UPS delivered them. My mother in law opened the box and said " what are these? why are they in a can?"... I said "come on Grace, you remember Charles Chips, don't you?" "Nope! Never seen them! What makes them so special? We like HEB chips!"
I thought it was a cool idea for a retro Christmas gift... They did enjoy them!

Charles Chips are a fond childhood memory for me, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that they're available on order. The price was far too high, plus had to pay for shipping, but thought I'd try one order to see if they held up to my memory. They do! These are great-tasting, thin & crispy chips unlike others I've had. Love the canister, too - a real blast from the past. I was disappointed, tho, that so many of the chips arrived broken - I'd say at least half of the bag (inside the canister) was reduced to crumbles. Tasty crumbles, of course, but still, crumbles. Given the cost to get them, I won't be reordering. It's a one and done sort of thing -

Bought as a nostalgia gift for my dad. We used to have a Charles Chip driver deliver to our house when I was kid. He would carry up his metal box full of chips for us to choose from and we kept the tins for years. The gift went over well and we all enjoyed the tasty chips and remember a little bit of the past.

The can of chips was received, and they are the product as expected. However, this was a gift. At the outrageous pricing, it would seem they would be shipped out in a timely manner with at the very least email the purchaser order received. I was beginning to think I had been scammed. No acknowledgment for 5 days that order was received although it did appear on my credit card. I filled out the gift card, no info in the package advising who sent it. The only reason I knew she received it was the recipient posted a picture on Facebook thanking the mystery person that sent them! Guess what? No card, nothing in the box to indicate who sent it. Then some yahoo took credit for sending them to her. Thanks, Charles Chips but I won't shop from you again.

I sent the chips as a ‘get well’ gift to a friend after her surgery. She loved the chips (her childhood favorite) but she had to make a call to find out who they were from. Your customer service rep was helpful and read the note I had written for which I was very thankful. However, I was disappointed that the message wasn’t included in the shipment.

I am now the age of 60. I remember when I was the age of 6 or 7, we would go out to my grandmothers house and she always had this cannister of Charles Chips and we would have a sandwich and chips for lunch. After we ate all the chips in this cannister, grandma would convert this cannister for either sugar or flour. I was so happy to discover this product 54 years later and they are the same product that grandma would buy.
